Allright I allready own a 14 inch arowana not thick by anymeans. I also have a pbass and a clown knife. My Pbass runs my tank and it is his place. The other day I was at the pet store and saw a 19 inch very thick and beautiful arowana. If I were to get this fish also would I be asking for problems with the fish I allready own. my Pbass is probable a 1.5 pounder and my clown knife is about 18 inches long. I own a 135 gallon tank. My Pbass leaves my arowana alone but will fox with the clown knife and I believe its because of his size. Are two arowana's known to be good together in the same tank or should they be raised together to be allright.

I would not say they are known to get along but it does happen. I had a silver and a black together for a long while. But the silver was a very well behaved fish as silvers go.

Personally the 135 is too narrow for these fish after awhile and at 19" that's close to pushing it already. If you like this kind of fish as I do. Look into getting a wider tank, at least 24" like a 180, 210 etc...

What kind of arowana do you have? Adult silvers and blacks tend to be docile when they become adults, but its the opposite for australian aros. Australian aro become more aggresive as they grow.

A fight will occur once the 19" aro is introduce to the tank. They will settle down in about a few weeks. You also need a big tank for two silver aros.

Allright thanks, that is what i wanted to know. I decided against getting the new guy, for tank size reasons. I will not be able to get a bigger tank for a little while and dont want to stress out my fish or hurt them in anyway i can control. Thanks for the info
