If your Aro have a good appetite to eat.. let it eat..
I feed my Aro with Bullfrogs each meal till it doesn't want to eat...

I live in the states, and my friend and I bought those african dwarf frogs for a special treat every now and then to change up his diet a little. Now he couldn't eat any bullfrogs like totoro's MASSIVE aro, but it's not uncommon. I was thinking spring peepers might not be a bad idea for this either seeing as how they are abundant here in Missouri.

Why would anyone feed their aro frogs? Personally, I love african dwarf frogs. I'm actually sick to my stomach thinking of my little Zen being eaten alive. But, seriosuly, wouldn't it much much healthier/cheaper to stick with feeders or insects? I'm not blaming you, because obviously everything has to eat. But why frogs?

Well in the wild amphibians are part of an aros diet. I'm speaking of a silver aro where is he talking about a red but still. We did it just to diversify it's diet a once every month or two thing. I used to keep tree frogs but some how little frogs like that I look at more as feeders.

i fed my green a ADF once. Just because.
In asia they have a lot more feeders other than just goldfish, guppies, and minnows.

Lots of people keep predators and prey as well. I have snakes but that definately doesn't keep me from having a rat as a pet.

do any aussie LFS sell feeder frogs ?
Well , feeding frogs are the most effective way to satisfy an arowana or a gar hunger .

With spring here in the US we shoul dbe able to find pools of wild tadpoles. Does anyone know if they would harm your tank or your Aro. I have a ray in the tank and worry anytime I put something "WILD" in there.
That goes for the crickets in the yard to. I always worry about pesticides and yard treatments that they may have on them.

There was a huge pair of aros in an lfs I used to work in. These guys happily munched on crickets, feeders, anoles, frogs, snakes, hamsters, mice, gerbils, finches, and parakeets.
The birds they ate were fresh DOAs from shipping losses, never live. The snakes and rodents were all notorious biters. The rule was "Bite a customer, feed a fish".
