You should have titled your thread differently then. Because African Butterflies and Clown Knifefish are Bonytongues too.

i agree with katt in terms of specificity, but i think given the forum its found in, the point is relatively clear
there are, however, some people who have more than one...so it may work to have people list them as well (i know Ivan has both the arap and the african bonytongue

).
myself:
African butterfly fish
African bonytongue

I had to null my vote. We currently have a Silver and Jardini and have had Clown Knives, Royal Knives, and Black Arowanas in the past. We also had an African Butterfly.

i have a 14" prochilodus in with my 18" disc motoro stingray for about a year now and i don't have any problems with the flagtail sucking slime out of any of his tankmates

Definately lucky. Every Prochilodus I've had has started to suck on tankmates eventually. The largest I've had was a little over 15". That jerkoff killed a 23" Silver Arowana in one night by taking it's slime coat.

Since live bony tongues (Osteoglossids) are illegal in my state. Here's a couple of the only types I can keep. The big fella looking up is Phareodus encaustis (22"). The smaller one is Phareodus testis. They've been deceased for about 55 million years from a time that aros could be found in Wyoming. (Green River Basin Formation).

my butterflyfish would only "come to life"when there was food or if there was a threat.they lasted for 2 years and then all seemed to die one after another.they were 4" when i got em..maybe that's why.
