They have a madison store which is pretty big and also have a store in Milwaukee which I have never been to.

There fish department for freshwater is pretty standard community stuff raning from platies, fancy guppies, tetras, barbs. They will occassionally carry baby RBPs and oddball stuff like needle nose gars, green spotted puffers, clown knives. They always carry standard cichlids like Texas, green Texas, convicts, multispinosas, oscars, JDs. As far as prices go for their freshwater fish, its average like what you will find anywhere else.

They also have a salt water section which is small but they carry live rock, coral, sea horses, and the occassional octopus.

Employees are very friendly and always greet you the second you walk in the door but thats where it ends. I have never found an employee there in 2 years of visiting there that is somewhat knowledgeable about fish. They are all very friendly and willing to help but dont even bother asking any specific questions about equipment or fish.

Overall there are at least 2 other fish stores in Madison (aquatic specialties and aquarium superstore) that you can go to, to find rare or unusual freshwater or saltwater fish. But the one redeeming thing about this store is their quarterly Super Sale. Where they have "2 for 1" freshwater fish, minus feeders. And that means any freshwater fish from blue crayfish to frontosas. They have a very small selection of equipment and the prices are higher than what you can normally find. They have a wide variety of tank sizes from 10 to 180s but they are all over priced and you can find cheaper tanks and set ups at Aquatic World Pets in Oconomowoc.
