Comments:

I personally know all the workers at this store pretty well. The majority of them are very knowledgeable and willing to help out with any of your questions. They will give you the info straight and to the point, and let you know what fish will get along with what, and everything else you need to know to keep the fish in good health. They have a decent selection, although they have more freshwater stuff on the order of cichlids than oddballs. They have a good selection of the 'peaceful' tropical fishes, but i usually pass up on that section. Their salt selection is also decent, but their prices on salt are lower than most places in Michigan that I have been to (and I have been to at least 20 in SEast Michigan).

Their freshwater prices are often times inflated by a good $10 depending on what you are looking for, so be prepared for that. Also be aware of the condition of the fish, sometimes they have ich or frayed fins, but this is also due to supplier handling moreso than the store itself. As with any LFS, close inspection of the product is needed in purchasing any fish.

They have a good selection of aquariums as well and will do custom orders and tanks as well. Friendly staff; over all, I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.

Agree the staff is very knowledgeable and helpfull.

Although small in the number of tanks, they have the more interisting fish there unlike than a huge store which lines the walls with tetra's and goldfish. (If you like these fish then they still have some at the store)

This store generally has a good selection, especially in the way of saltwater fish and inverts. Some of the best live rock I've ever owned has come from this store, and the crabs my bf bought from them over two and a half years ago are still thriving.

My one beef with them, however, is that they have the vast majority of their fish crammed into those little cubicle displays with the common water supply. And as a result, they have to practically marinate the fish in copper to keep them free of disease. Not something I personally agree with, but that's just my opinion.
