I am back on this forum and brought 2 arowanas along with me. Both are silvers housed in a 6x3x3 fish tank which might change if they get bigger. They were quite damaged when i bought them but they seem to be healing quite well. It has been a long long time since i posted something in this forum. I have 4 catfish with them along with 3 snake heads but they are way smaller than the aros. Hopefully they won't develop drop eye or jump out my tank. Would like to get suggestions on caring for these arowanas. I might post some pictures once i get a camera. The snake heads are not aggressive at all but will change if they attack my silvers.

I was wondering if i should get sand or gravel for my tank since at the moment it is a bare bottom. It can kept as a bare bottom if it helps the fish out but would love to get something to get some declorations for my tank. so far i am leaning on sand but don't know how to care for it.

Get sand i love mine, the only down fall is that its hard not to suck some up when cleaning. Make sure you get estes marine sand, most others wont settle and will stay clogged up in your filters.
