Scientific Name: Tetraodon suvattii

Common Name: Arrowhead Puffer

Location: Asia

Max Size: 6"

Minimum Tank Requirement: 20g- single specimen

Ph: 7.8-8.0

Temperature:80-82 degrees Fahrenheit

Diet: Frozen bloodworms, ghost shrimp, prawns, mussels, cockles, feeders (raised by yourself), etc.

aggression: These fish are aggressive and will eat most tankmates.

Reproduction: N/A

Notes: This is a purely freshwater puffer species. Your tank should be fully cycled before adding puffers. Puffers are very sensitive to water conditions. This species needs a 20g tank to itself. This is because of its size and aggression level. They will kill/eat most tankmates.

They also like burying themselves in sand. So when buying you might want to think about a sand substrate. This species is a lurker type predator they will bury in the sand and grab the prey when it swims by. Also note that they are not active. The pretty much sent in the same spot all day. The only time they are really active is when they are eating.

They will very rarely feed on dead food when bought. If this is the case you will have to try them to eat dead prawns etc.. A good way to do it is to tie the prawn on a fishing string and wiggle it in front of them. Once they learn it is food you will no longer have to do it.
