From personal experience, I would not recommend 6th avenue..The only thing that I did find good about the store was the salt water selection and the prices of their fish and equipment..I've bought fish from there before and none have survived..A lot of customers give them complaints such as: multiple dead fish in the tank, diseased fish, water levels were too cold, and the tanks were crowded..The ownder, David is a very helpful person, but the rest of the staff can use a little more help on customer service..As pleasing as the prices are, I would not purchase fish from here..Out of 5 stars, I'd give them 1 star, and that's for the wide selection of equipment..

Has anyone else been here? Reviews please...

I would stay clear of there fish. But, there prices of filters are the best i have ever seen.

There equipment is the same prices as Big als, or very close

I went there a while back and got 2 5" rds for $10. I guess they were on sale or something. Didn't have any problems with disease but had to get rid of them cause I got my 10" m trimac at aquatic lifeforms in sunnyvale for only $15. I thought it was a joke but the owner said he was trying to get rid of it for a long time.

Place is not bad. If you want some rare fish and non regular fishes, sixth ave is a place to go. If you are looking for a nice setting then go somewhere else. Overall, I been going to 6th ave for a while. It is a good store because of the fish selection

Probably half the fish that 6th ave sells comes from Aquatraders in San Bruno. They also mark them up compared to the prices of Aquatraders. I've actually seen the owner pick up some fish at aquatraders one time.
